Haiku is a short poem, often written in the classical three-line form of 5-7-5 syllables, that attempts to convey one’s perception of a moment and how the essence of that moment connects nature to human nature.
The following haiku are here for you to enjoy. Please feel free to share your poetic observations.
Freshly fallen snow
Silence and confinement
Courtesy of nature
Fearing the darkness
and the stillness, arises from
what is within us
Time flies, time stands still
In the present moment
Everything just is
Seeing the world as it is
Feeling the wind within you
Just being
Listening without judging
Teaching without instruction
A true friend
Success in all things
Comfort and safety secured
Salvation is lost
An ordinary house
Moved by her extraordinary hand
Exudes warmth
Oneness underlies
pervading all things that are
interconnected
Superiority
Inferiority
Foolish delusions
No likes, no dislikes
Beginner’s mind, open mind
The path to being
Hope diminishes
Despair completely embraced
Progress is likely
Too futile the charade
Abandon your very self
Embrace emptiness
Confidence waning
Arrogance diminishing
Darkness is fading
Wise for posterity
Those who state the obvious
For the first time
This is the most loving thing anyone has ever done for me. Thank you, Bill.
Looking in, or out;
Ev’ry brushstroke is perfect
Painted with the heart.

Thanks for sharing, fellow haiku-ers!
Thank you, Bill! I enjoy communicating in weird little haikus, so I appreciate you providing this opportunity. I feel comfy cozy at recusive.com.
Sid and I sold the hermitage this year and are living 50 miles apart now. We got too old for all the difficulties of survival up there. I still live in a hut though…400 sq. ft. this time!
When Sid gets back up here, we will finish the rest of the haiku links. If you write more, we will link more. I enjoy haiku-ing with you.
I see the timer as a massive multiplayer online gaming community with a spiritual theme. Mostly I have gone there the last year to hang around with you, and to listen to the guided meditations. I am alone so much of the time that I find them to be good company. I don’t really need a practice timer; I “practice” all the time! The Hermit Hut is interesting. I only invited you and Sid; and yet they come… to do nothing.
Peaceful hugs….
And yet, by doing nothing, they do everything …
